World Veteran Table Tennis Championships, Alicante, Spain

Wow, what an event it was. 4575 competitors from 80 countries, 17000 matches played on 165 tables. There were also 60 practice tables. The venue was huge and we walked several kilometres a day around it. Brent was table managing and umpiring and I was a satellite operator entering results onto computer. We also spent our first day doing accreditations. Processing over 2000 players.

Our days were long, rarely eating our evening meal before 10.30pm. The experience was rewarding, meeting so many people from around the world.
